The Zen-like calm of the bamboo grove at the Nezu Museum and Garden is the inspiration for the new U.S. Special Edition SBGJ259, with its distinct striated bright green patterned dial and yellow GMT hand. Enclosed in a contemporary reinterpretation of the acclaimed 44GS design, the case offers highly polished, distortion-free surfaces, razor-edged hands for high legibility, and perfect comfort on the wrist.

Found inside the SBGH259’s 40mm case is the hi-beat 9S86 GMT movement. It expresses the best of Grand Seiko’s mechanical watchmaking in both performance and appearance. The movement is highly accurate, with an accuracy of 5 to -3 seconds per day (when static) and boasts an impressive 55-hour power reserve. The GMT function allows the wearer to track two different time zones, with the hour hand being adjustable independently as the time-of-day hands continue to mark time. The watch is hand- assembled in the Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi, where all mechanical watches are crafted by the skilled artisans in the studio.
